MANILA – The country’s representative to the Miss Universe pageant this year Maxine Medina is excited to prepare to represent the Philippines in this year’s Miss Universe pageant.
Medina posted to her Instagram Account last Sunday, She looked back at her crowning moment in Binibining Pilipinas 2016 held exactly a month ago.
“It has been a month since I was crowned Miss Universe Philippines 2016. The feeling is still the same every time I watch this short clip of the most beautiful and unforgettable moment of my life,” she wrote.

Maxine Medina promises to her fellow Filipinos that she is doing everything to make the country proud.

Pia Wurtzbach, who was crowned Miss Universe last year. Medina is hoping to replicate the success of her predecessor
The Philippines currently has three Miss Universe winners – Wurtzbach (2015), Margie Moran (1973) and Gloria Diaz (1969).
Since 2010, Filipina beauty queens have been performing well in the Miss Universe pageant with Top 10 and Top 5 finishes.
