Jaws dropped when the official ticket prices for the 65th Miss Universe coronation night was announced, but to ease the pain of potentially missing out, the Department of Tourism on Wednesday shared some good news for pageant fans.
In an inter-agency meeting, Tourism Undersecretary Kat De Castro said that they are expecting the National Costume show tickets to be considerably cheaper than the coronation night tickets.
“Rest assured that definitely the pageant fanatics will get their chance to buy the cheaper tickets for the National Costume show,” De Castro told the press. “As of now, wala pa po tayong venue, because they’re still fixing it, but they can get tickets for as low as P500 for the National Costume show.”
She added, “That’s what was promised to the Department of Tourism—that the (fans) can get it for as low as P500. So this is really meant for pageant fanatics, because as we all know, the national costume is one of the shows they really look forward to.”
Miss Universe 2016 coronation tickets start selling at P2,000. The VIP tickets sell for P50,000.
