Alexie Brooks, proudly representing the Philippines at Miss Eco International 2025, clinched the Best in National Costume award—earning her a place among the esteemed semifinalists of the competition.
Her winning ensemble, titled “The Mangayon National Costume,” was designed by celebrated Filipino fashion artist Tata Pinuela. The costume paid homage to the Philippine Eagle, a national symbol of strength, resilience, and the enduring Filipino spirit of freedom.
Radiating elegance and power, Brooks wore the costume adorned with elaborate beadwork, dramatic feathered wings, and regal detailing. More than a display of craftsmanship, the piece told a story—one of identity, pride, and heritage. Known as Haribon or “King of Birds,” the eagle came to life on stage as Brooks delivered a performance that was both fierce and graceful.
This standout moment not only underscored Brooks’ strong presence on the international stage but also reaffirmed the Philippines’ continued excellence in pageantry and cultural representation.
As the pageant moves forward, Alexie Brooks carries with her the pride of the Filipino people—and the hopes of bringing home the crown.
