Itbayat, Batanes was shaken by a magnitude 5.3 earthquake

A magnitude 5.3 earthquake shook Itbayat, Batanes.

According to the Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (PHIVOLCS) the incident occurred at 9:48 this Thursday night.

It has a depth of 10 kilometers and is tectonic in origin.

PhiVolcs warned of aftershocks and expect some damages.
