NU Pep Squad, champions from 2013 to 2019, once again demonstrated why they are considered a powerhouse. The team’s innovative take on an intergalactic theme, coupled with seamless transitions and synchronized execution, earned them the top spot, proving their commitment to excellence and creativity.
As they secure their 8th title, the NU Pep Squad is now tied with the UST Salinggawi Dance Troupe and the UP Pep Squad, both of which also boast 8 championships in their names. The race for supremacy in the cheerdance scene is tighter than ever, with all three teams setting their sights on future glory.

National University Pep Squad brought along the 19,121 crowd to an out of this world performance to claim its eighth title in the 2024 UAAP Cheerdance Competition on Sunday at the Mall of Asia Arena in Pasay City.
The NU Cheering Squad took the crowd on a gravity-defying space-themed adventure, delivering a near-flawless performance to secure a whopping 713 points. With this victory, NU ties UP Varsity Pep Squad and UST Salinggawi Dance Troupe for the most UAAP Cheerdance titles at eight each!
Adamson Pep Squad made a triumphant return to the podium with a nostalgic videoke-inspired routine featuring “Dancing Queen” and “I Will Survive”, earning 679.5 points and a silver medal—their best finish since 2021.
Defending champions FEU Cheering Squad brought the magic of Frozen to life with an ice-cold performance, scoring 650 points to claim bronze.
UE Pep Squad narrowly missed the podium, electrifying the audience with their Sexbomb Dancers-inspired routine, jamming to “Halukay Ube” and “The Spaghetti Song” for 641 points.
UST’s ‘Batang ’90s’ blast from the past scored 634.5 points, while UP’s vibrant summer-themed showcase earned 560 points, landing them in fifth and sixth place.
De La Salle’s chess-themed routine scored 525 points for seventh, and Ateneo’s cosmic storytelling opened the competition with 490 points.
