Pres. Duterte, thanked the countries that donated COVAX

President Rodrigo Duterte thanked the donor-countries for the AstraZeneca COVID-19 vaccines.

In his speech on the arrival of the vaccine from the World Health Organization-led Covax facility, the president said that not forgetting poor countries like the Philippines is a “plus for humanity”.

At the same time, he advised the people to get vaccinated.

More than 400,000 vaccines arrived at Ninoy Aquino International Airport Terminal 3 and were taken to Villamor Air Base for the acceptance ceremony.

Countries Germany, Norway, France, Italy, Spain, The Netheralands, Sweden, Denmark, Belgium, Austria, Greece and Australia made donations to the COVAX facility operated by WHO.
