Typhoon Amang gained speed while remaining in the eastern part of the Philippines.
Based on Bombo Weather Center data, it was last spotted at a distance of 270 km east of Virac, Catanduanes.
This typhoon is moving westward at a speed of 30 kph.
It has sustained winds of 55 kph near the center and gusts of 70 kph.
Because of this, the tropical cyclone wind signal No. 1 in Catanduanes, Sorsogon, Albay, Camarines Sur, Camarines Norte, Quezon, including Pollilo Islands, Marinduque, Masbate, Ticao Island and Burias Island, as well as Eastern Samar, Northern Samar, Samar and Biliran.
