The inter-agency task force of the FIBA Basketball World Cup met in Malacañang to ensure the country’s hosting readiness.
Senior deputy executive secretary Hubert Guevara led the meeting with the Inter-agency task force led by the Philippine Sports Commission.
Also attending the meeting were PSC chairman Richard Bachmann, commissioner Bong Coo, Fritz Gaston, Walter Torres, Edward Hayco and leaders and representatives of various government agencies.
Guevara said that President Ferdinand Marcos Jr assured them of the full support that will be given to the task force to make the country’s hosting of the prestigious event a success.
The Philippines has been selected as one of the hosts of the FIBA World Cup to be held in August along with Japan and Indonesia.
