Former President Fidel V. Ramos will be given a state funeral in Malacanang.
Press Secretary Trixie Cruz Angeles said the state funeral will be held on August 9, 2022, Tuesday next week.
According to Angeles, the Ramos family has the right to give the former chief executive a state funeral, with full military honors.
President Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr. honored former president Fidel V. Ramos’ service to the country both as a soldier and a public servant.
The Chief Executive made this remark during his visit to Ramos’ wake at the Heritage Park in Taguig City on Thursday morning.
The Ramos family had previously announced that FVR would be buried at Libingan ng mga Bayani.
This Thursday, visitors will be allowed to enter the Heritage Park in Taguig City.
