“These foreign nationals must likewise have a pre-booked accommodation for at least seven (7) nights in an accredited quarantine hotel or facility and they must subject to COVID-19 testing at the quarantine hotel / facility on the sixth (6th) day from the date of arrival. In addition, they are subject to the maximum capacity of inbound passengers at the port and date of entry, ”said Sec. Roque.
However, Sec. Roque that travel restrictions still exist on travelers who come from India or have a history of traveling to such country.
“All these are without prejudice to immigrations, rules and regulations. The Commissioner of Immigration shall have the exclusive prerogative to decide on the waiver or recall of exclusion orders of foreign nationals, subject to regular reporting to the IATF Secretariat, ”added Sec. Roque.
Announced by Sec. Roque said that to ensure the smooth implementation of the new IATF rules, the Bureau of Immigration (BI) has been instructed to formulate the relevant guidelines.
